Assay Development Research Assistant

We are looking for someone with a background in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology who is looking to join a small yet growing team.
You will be working with the team responsible for the ongoing development and optimisation of surface-based isothermal DNA amplification designing assays and analysing batch-to-batch recombinant protein performance. You will be designing and carrying out experiments alongside preparing reagents for shipping to collaborators. We require applicants with experience in the use of epifluorescence microscopes and performing image analysis and/or cloning and/or development and optimisation of nucleic acid lateral flow detection methodologies.

To be successful you will have a BSc in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology and a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience with significant experience in setting up in vitro assays/biochemical reactions. We need a ‘can do’ attitude and an organised and methodical approach to work.
